Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) -The Qur’an is the principle source of every Muslim’s faith and practice, but its basic theme is the relationship between God and His creatures and provides guidelines for a just society, proper human conduct and equitable economic principles. For the last chapter of Noble Words, let’s hear some of prayers and invocations from Holy Qur’an:
“Our Lord! Give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire”. (Qur’an; 2:201)
“Our Lord! Pour patience upon us, make our feet steady, and assist us against the faithless lot”. (Qur’an; 2:250)
“Our Lord! Take us not to task if we forget or make mistakes! Our Lord! Place not upon us a burden as You placed on those who were before us! Our Lord! Lay not upon us what we have no strength to bear! Excuse us and forgive us, and be merciful to us! You are our Master, so help us against the faithless lot”. (Qur’an; 2:286)
“Our Lord! Do not make our hearts swerve after You have guided us, and bestow Your mercy on us. Indeed You are the All-munificent”. (Qur’an; 3:8)
“Our Lord! We have indeed heard a summoner calling to faith, declaring," Have faith in your Lord!" So we believed. Our Lord, forgive us our sins and absolve us of our misdeeds, and make us die with the pious. Our Lord, give us what You have promised us through Your apostles, and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed You do not break Your promise”. (Qur’an; 3: 193 & 194)
“Our Lord! Accept my supplication. Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents, and all the faithful, on the day when the reckoning is held”. (Qur’an; 14:41)
“Our Lord! Grant us comfort in our spouses and descendants, and make us imams of the righteous”. (Qur’an; 25:74)
“Our Lord! Forgive us and our brothers who preceded us to the faith, and keep our hearts from having any hatred towards those who believed. Our Lord, You are indeed most compassionate, merciful”. (Qur’an; 59:10)
